Mountain Pride is honored to partner with VOICES on I AM ME, a four-week arts residency designed for queer youth.

In a time when many LGBTQ+ young people face uncertainty, isolation, and increasing hostility, creating a safe, brave, and welcomed space is imperative to their wellbeing. Through theater, creative writing, and storytelling, I AM ME empowers participants to discover their authentic selves, find their voices, and build meaningful connections with one another. Together, VOICES and Mountain Pride are committed to ensuring that every young person knows they belong, feeling seen, heard, and valued exactly as they are.

About the Project- I AM ME
I AM ME is a four-week, eight-session arts residency integrating Theater and Creative Writing. A talented ensemble of Teaching Artists from the queer community will lead the sessions with a specific theme, designed to discover, express, and celebrate who we are. The residency is free, with future opportunities to perform and be involved in other VOICES projects.

Founded in 2016 in the Roaring Fork Valley, VOICES is a nonprofit organization dedicated to amplifying voices through the arts.
